That Jay Z, he’s a big shot now, huh? Heard he got more money than he knows what to do with. Good for him, I guess. He sure did make something of himself, ain’t he? I remember when he was just startin’ out, singin’ them rap songs. Now he’s a billionaire, they say. Billionaire! Can you believe it?
He’s always been a hustler, that one. Always workin’, always got somethin’ goin’ on. I saw on TV that he got some kinda Empire, they say he made. Well, I reckon he worked hard for it. He got that net worth thing they talk about, two point five billin, whatever that means. All I know it’s a lot of money. He must be swimming in it.
I don’t know much about that hip-hop stuff, but he sure is famous for it. They say he changed the whole game. Heard he ain’t singin’ no more though. Maybe he will sing again. He say he not done, he just need somethin’ important to sing about. That sounds right. That sounds about right for that Jay Z future.
- He got that album with his wife, that Queen B, they call her. They sing together.
- He got that one song with that rock band, Linkin Park. That was a surprise, now wasn’t it?
- He even made some songs with that Kanye West fella. That Kanye, he’s a strange one.
Heard he won some kinda award, a GRAMMY, they call it. Must be a big deal. He won it for his third singin’ thing, his third album. They say it’s his best one. The most important one, for sure.
I reckon he’s got a good head on his shoulders, even with all that money. They say money changes people. But he seem alright. And he won’t make no new songs unless it means something. That’s what he say. Don’t just wanna make a bunch of tunes for nothin’. That’s what he says.
He owns his own music now. Don’t have to ask nobody for nothin’. That’s what I heard. After some years, 2031 I think they said, he gets all the rights and all the money and all the profits, that’s what I think it means. Don’t need to ask his partners, whoever they are. Good for him!
He also got this music thing, Tidal. It’s like Spotify, but he owns it. This is what that paper said. It’s all about music. And it’s all about artists. Whatever that means, I reckon it means he’s tryin’ to do right by the other singers. He’s tryin’ to help ’em out. That’s what I heard, anyhow.
You know, they say he’s a mogul now. What is a mogul anyway? I guess that means he’s a big boss. He’s got his hands in all sorts of things. Music, and clothes, and who knows what else. They say he got a lot of power, and they call that impact. He is a product of his environment. I reckon that is a good thing. He sure did make somethin’ of himself. He changed his future, that’s for sure.
I don’t know what the future holds for him. But I reckon he’ll be just fine. He’s a smart one, that Jay Z. He’ll figure it out. He always does. And I guess he is going to make new music, but only when it is important, whatever that means. Well, I hope it all works out for him, that Jay Z. He’s done alright so far, ain’t he?
