I have always been a big fan of the Air Jordan 11. I remember when they first came out in 1995, I was immediately hooked. The design was so sleek and futuristic, and the patent leather was something I had never seen before on a basketball shoe.
So I got this idea to collect some cool pics of the Jordan 11. It was a pretty random thought, but I was bored and figured, why not? I started by digging through my old shoeboxes. Found a few old photos from back in the day when I first got my hands on a pair. One was of me holding them up right after I bought them, and another was of me wearing them at a basketball game.
Then, I started looking up pictures online. This was a bit trickier since I wanted good-quality images, and not just any random shot. I used some websites, and it took some time, but I managed to find some really great photos. I found some awesome action shots of players wearing them in games, some detailed close-ups of the different colorways, and even some old ads from when they first released. It was like a trip down memory lane, seeing all those classic designs.
I spent a couple of days on this, saving photos whenever I found good ones. I organized them into folders on my computer, sorting them by colorway, year, and even the player if it was a famous shot. I created folders like “Concord,” “Bred,” “Cool Grey,” and so on. It was fun to see all the variations and special editions.
My Favorite Pics
- The “Concord” Close-Up: This photo is super detailed. Shows off the patent leather and the icy sole. Looks like it was taken in a studio.
- Jordan in the 1996 All-Star Game: I found this old photo where he’s wearing the “Columbia” colorway. It’s a bit grainy, but the nostalgia factor is through the roof.
- “Cool Grey” Action Shot: There’s this picture of a player mid-air, about to dunk, wearing the Cool Greys. The lighting is perfect, and it captures the moment so well.
- Original “Bred” Ad: I found an old magazine ad for the original “Bred” colorway. It’s so 90s, and it’s awesome to see how they marketed the shoe back then.
After gathering all these photos, I decided to make a slideshow. I wanted something to show off the collection I had put together. I used some simple software to put the photos into a video. Added some background music, nothing too fancy, just something to set the vibe. It took a few hours, but it was worth it. The slideshow turned out great, and it’s a cool way to look through all the pictures.
Sharing this with my friends was the next step. I uploaded the slideshow to a file-sharing site and sent them the link. They loved it. Some of them are sneakerheads, too, so they appreciated the effort. We even started talking about our favorite Jordan 11 moments and colorways. It was a fun way to connect over something we’re all passionate about.
This whole thing started as a spur-of-the-moment idea, but it turned into a pretty cool project. I got to dive deep into the history of one of my favorite shoes, and I ended up with a great collection of photos. It’s something I’ll keep adding to, and I might even turn it into a blog or something. Who knows? The possibilities are endless when you’re having fun with your hobbies.
