Okay, so, I saw this Dior glitter lipstick thing going viral online, and I just had to try it out. I mean, who doesn’t love a bit of sparkle, right?
First off, I went online and ordered the limited edition set because I wanted to try those exclusive shades, #688 and #756. They also had this gift box thing, but I just stuck with the lipsticks. I waited a few days, and then boom, package at my doorstep. I love this!
I opened up the package, and the lipsticks looked so pretty. I decided to go with #688 first. I applied it, and oh boy, the color was a bit more dramatic than I usually wear, but I was feeling adventurous. I smeared it on, not really paying attention to how precise I was being.
- I then grabbed some glitter I had lying around from some old craft project.
- Dabbed my finger in the glitter and patted it all over my lips.
- It was a bit messy, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
I looked in the mirror, and wow! It was definitely a look. Not something I’d wear every day, but for a night out, it was perfect. It felt a bit rough, not like my usual smooth, hydrating lipsticks from Dior, but I guess that’s the price you pay for the glitter effect.
The Result
I took some selfies, posted them online, and got a bunch of likes. A few friends even asked me how I did it. It was a fun little experiment. I tried #756 the next day, and it was a similar story. Great for a special occasion, but not an everyday thing for me.
I also tried 999 and 100 nude, but I like glossy moist lipsticks and also was completely blown away by how incredibly smooth and hydrating.
All in all, I’d say it’s worth trying if you’re into glitter and want to make a statement. Just be prepared for a bit of a mess and a slightly different texture than your regular lipstick. And remember, have fun with it! That’s what makeup is all about, right?
