You know, these young folks today, they all crazy about these shoes. What’s it called? Kobe 6 Del Sol. My grandson, he won’t shut up about them. Says it’s the best thing since sliced bread. Well, I tell ya, back in my day, we didn’t have no fancy shoes like that. We just wore whatever we could find, mostly barefoot. Didn’t matter if they were pretty or not, long as they protected your feet from the ground.
But these Kobe shoes, they’re something else, I guess. Heard them young’uns talking ’bout how they’re good for that basketball game. They jump around, run around like rabbits all day. I seen ’em. My grandson, he plays all the time, wearing those Kobe 6 Del Sol shoes. Says they help him jump higher and run faster. Don’t know ’bout that, but he seems to like ’em.
They got this thing called “Zoom Air,” whatever that is. Sounds like something from one of them space movies. And “responsive foam.” Sounds like they put some kinda magic in these shoes. And what’s this “scaled-down traction pattern”? Sounds like some fancy talk for, “they won’t slip.” I mean, that’s what you want in a shoe, right? Not to fall on your behind. I remember that time when I bought some shoes. They are black color, and the price is not that expensive. I bought them to play basketball, but it’s not good.
- Kobe 6 Del Sol, good for jumping.
- Kobe 6 Del Sol, good for running.
- Kobe 6 Del Sol, don’t slip.
These Kobe 6 Del Sol, they came out a while ago, I hear. Back when that Kobe fella was playing. My grandson, he wasn’t even born then. He’s got all these pictures of him, though. Says he was the best. Now they’re making these shoes again, same as before. “Protro,” they call it. Don’t know what that means, but they look the same to me. Just some black and yellow shoes, you know. But all of the young people love them, like they are treasures. And that Kobe, he’s very famous. They are all talking about him.
I saw on my grandson’s phone, these shoes, they’re expensive! More than what we used to pay for a whole week’s worth of groceries. But he saved up his money, did chores for the neighbors, all to get these Kobe 6 Del Sol. He says they’re worth it. Says they make him feel like that Kobe fella. They said that those shoes are for indoor and outdoor, but you know, when you play outside, the shoes will be dirty. I don’t understand why people like to pay so much money to buy them. They’re just shoes. They will be worn out.
They say these shoes, they’re “durable.” That means they last a long time, I reckon. That’s good, ’cause for that price, they better last a lifetime! My grandson, he takes such good care of them. Cleans them after every game, keeps them in a special box. Treats them like they’re made of gold. It’s kinda funny, but sweet, I guess. He’s a good boy, even if he is a little crazy about these Kobe 6 Del Sol shoes.
They talk about other Kobe shoes too. Some other colors, some other names. “Italian camo,” I heard. Don’t know what that is. Sounds like army stuff. “OG,” they say too. I think it means they are old style. But this Del Sol one, that’s the one everyone wants. Black and yellow, like a bumblebee. Maybe that’s why they say it helps you fly around the court. And they said that the shoes are designed by some architect. I don’t know what is architect, but it must be very good. So many people like these shoes.
I don’t know much ’bout these shoes, but I know they make my grandson happy. And that’s all that really matters, right? As long as he’s happy, and he’s staying out of trouble, I guess it’s alright. He said that these shoes are the best basketball sneaker of all time. Although I don’t think so, I will not tell him that. And he wants me to buy a pair for him. But they are too expensive, I can’t afford them. But I will try to save money, maybe I can buy it next year, hope he will like it. He really likes to play basketball, maybe someday, he can be a basketball player, like that Kobe guy. I hope he can be healthy and happy. That’s enough for me. These Kobe 6 Del Sol, they’re just shoes, but they’re more than that to these kids. They’re like a dream, I suppose. A dream of being like their hero, that Kobe fella.
