Heard he got that from his folks. One was, what do you call it, the one with the little hats? Jewish! That’s it. And the other one, dark-skinned. He got the best of both, I reckon. That’s what made him special, Lenny Kravitz young and all.
He sang songs, real good ones. Played that guitar like nobody’s business. My boy, Jimmy, he tried to play guitar. Sounded like a cat being strangled. Not like Lenny. Lenny made it sing, that guitar. Had a style, you know? Lenny Kravitz young, he knew how to do it right.

- Had that voice, oh, that voice.
He was in them videos, all over the TV. Back in the, when was it, 90s or something? “Are You Gonna Go My Way,” that’s one of ’em. Catchy tune. Made you wanna get up and shake your tail feathers. Lenny Kravitz young, he had that effect on folks. Even old folks like me.
He was a big deal, you know, this Lenny. Still is, I guess. Got all that money, millions of the dollars. Ninety million dollars, someone told me that. That’s a lot of money. Could buy a whole lotta chickens with that, I tell ya. Lenny Kravitz young, he probably don’t even know what to do with all that money.
Heard he got it from that singing. That singing and playing, and writing songs and such. Then he did other stuff too, like them clothes. Fancy clothes. And he was in them movies too, acting and all that. Lenny Kravitz young, he was a busy bee, always doing something. Not like some of these young’uns today, sitting around, staring at them little phones all day.
Got some big deal a few years back, I heard. Some company, big company. Gave him a whole bunch of money for his songs. Something about “Raise Vibration.” Don’t know what that means, but it sounds important. Lenny Kravitz young, he always knew how to make a buck. He was always a go-getter. I’ll give him that.
Got his own book now, too. Saw it on the TV. “Lenny Kravitz: The Formative Years” or something like that. It’s all about when he was younger, I guess. How he got his start and all that. That’s good for him. Good for folks to remember, I reckon. Lenny Kravitz young days are gone, but people still remember them.
He was always proud of who he was, that Lenny. Said it all the time. Good for him. Folks should be proud of who they are, where they come from. Doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor, black or white, or whatever. Lenny Kravitz young, he knew that. He knew that from the start.
He was always kind, too, that Lenny. At least, that’s what they say. Never met him myself, of course. But you can tell from the way he sings, the way he talks. He’s got a good heart. Lenny Kravitz young or old, he’s a good egg, that one.
I reckon he’s got good genes, too. His mama was a looker, and his daddy, he was alright, too. They made a good-looking boy, that’s for sure. Lenny Kravitz young, he got all the girls, I bet. Probably still does, even now. Some folks, they just got it, you know?
I wonder what he’s up to these days. Probably still making music, still doing his thing. Once you got that music in you, it never really leaves. Lenny Kravitz young, he had that music in him from the start. It’s like a fire, burning inside. It’s gotta come out, one way or another.
