Oh, honey, you wanna talk about them Jordans, the gray and orange ones? Well, I gotta tell ya, I seen a lot of shoes in my day, but these Jordans, they somethin’ else. My grandkids, they all crazy about ’em. They keep sayin’ “Grandma, these Jordans are fire!” I don’t know about fire, but they sure are popular.
Gray Jordans, Orange Jordans – So Many!
Now, these gray Jordans, they come in all kinda shades. Some light, some dark, like the clouds before a storm. Then you got your orange Jordans, bright like a pumpkin, or sometimes like a little bit of sunset, a little softer, you know? They mix ’em up too, these colors. Gray and orange together, they look pretty good, I guess. My grandson, he got a pair, wears ’em all the time.
You see these young folks, they wear these jordans gray and orange shoes everywhere. To school, to the store, even to church sometimes! Back in my day, we only had one good pair of shoes, and we saved ’em for special occasions. These kids today, they got so many shoes, I can’t keep up.

- My grandkids say there’s a fella named Michael Jordan, a basketball player, he’s the reason these shoes so special.
- They say these Jordan shoes are the best. I don’t know about that, but they sure are expensive!
Where to Find These Jordans?
They got these shoes everywhere these days. At the mall, online, even in those fancy stores downtown. Foot Locker, that’s one of ’em. My granddaughter, she works there. Says they sell a lot of these sale Jordan shoes. Seems like everyone wants a pair, especially when they’re on sale.
Then there’s this other place, Hibbett, I think it’s called. They got ’em too, these orange Jordan shoes, and the gray ones. You can get ’em shipped to your house, they say. Imagine that, shoes comin’ right to your door! We used to have to walk miles to get new shoes.
And you can sell them jordans too. I seen people buy and sell them all over the place. People make a lot of money from them shoes. Them Nike Air Jordan shoes, you can find them new and used. Like old cars, but for your feet.
The Price of These Jordans… Whew!
Now, let me tell you about the price of these Jordans. Lord have mercy, they cost a fortune! Back in my day, you could get a good pair of shoes for a few dollars. These Jordans, they cost more than my whole outfit! They say it’s ’cause they’re made good, with real good stuff. And because so many people want ’em.
I heard they have these special Jordans, they call ’em “OG” or something, that are even more expensive. They like the first ones. Like some old antique, but for shoes. These young folks, they save up all their money for these shoes. I tell ’em, “You should be savin’ for a house!” But they don’t listen to old me.
They got different kinds, too. Big kids ones, they’re called “Air Jordan 1 Mid SE Craft” or something like that. That’s what my grandson wears. They’re gray, kinda like cement. All these names, it’s hard to keep up. They all about these shoes, these jordans gray and orange. It’s like a whole other world.

I don’t really understand it, but these Jordans, they’re a big deal. Especially them gray and orange ones. They’re like a status symbol or somethin’. You see someone wearin’ ’em, you know they got good taste, I guess. Or at least, that’s what the young folks say.
Me, I’ll stick to my comfy slippers. But I gotta admit, those gray and orange Jordans, they do look kinda nice. Maybe if they weren’t so darn expensive, I’d get a pair myself. Just to see what all the fuss is about. But for now, I’ll just watch my grandkids show off their fancy shoes and shake my head. These kids today!
