Okay, so the other day I was messing around, thinking about what kind of shoes I’d want if I was a big-shot basketball player like Nikola Jokić. You know, the guy’s a beast on the court, and I heard he recently switched up his shoe game, ditching Nike for some Chinese brand called 361 Degrees. It got me thinking, what if he went even more out there with his shoe designs?

I started doodling, and then it hit me – SpongeBob! That goofy, square dude from under the sea. I imagined Jokić rocking some SpongeBob-themed kicks on the court. I grabbed my sketchbook and started sketching like crazy. I was picturing bright yellow shoes, maybe with some porous details to mimic SpongeBob’s, well, sponge-like body.
Then, I got a bit more detailed. I drew on SpongeBob’s big, round eyes on the sides of the shoes, and his buck teeth on the toe area. I even added his signature brown shorts and red tie as design elements on the heel and tongue of the shoe. I was getting really into it, making sure these shoes would scream “I’m ready!” just like SpongeBob does.
I spent the whole afternoon working on these designs, trying to balance the fun, cartoonish elements with the practical needs of a basketball shoe. These things gotta be comfy and supportive for a guy like Jokić, right? So, I made sure to include a solid sole and ankle support in my drawings, all while keeping that SpongeBob flair.
I found out that Nikola Jokic actually had already shown off these SpongeBob sneakers he calls them Joker 1 during playoffs! And those shoes are made by that same Chinese brand 361 Degrees! Wow!
- First, I just imagined it.
- Second, I doodled and sketched out the initial concept in my sketchbook.
- Third, I refined the designs, adding details and ensuring they were both fun and functional.
- Fourth, Realized it had already become real and Jokic wore those shoes already!
In the end, I had a blast letting my imagination run wild with this little project. Who knows, maybe Jokić will see my designs and decide to go full SpongeBob on us. Until then, I’ll keep dreaming up crazy shoe designs in my spare time. It’s all in good fun, right?
