You know, that Nissan Fairlady Z, I seen it in that movie, what was it called? Tokyo Drift, yeah, that’s the one. That car, she’s a real looker. A fella, they called him DK, drove it, racing around and all that. He was a mean one, that DK. He raced that boy, Sean, in that movie. That Sean, he was talkin’ to some girl, Neela, and DK didn’t like it one bit.

That Nissan, they used a whole bunch of ’em in the movie, like, eleven of those cars! Some they just wrecked up real good. Makes a body sick to see a pretty car like that get all busted up. But hey, that’s Hollywood for ya. They got money to burn, I reckon.
This here Fairlady Z, they started makin’ ’em way back when, like 1970 or somethin’. Long time ago. Had a big ol’ engine, a straight-six, they called it. And rear-wheel drive, whatever that means. Just know it went fast! And it was a coupe, real sleek lookin’ thing. Like a fancy lady’s shoe, all shiny and smooth. Them Japanese folks, they sure know how to make a car. Reminds me of that Datsun, used to see them all the time. This Nissan, it’s like that Datsun’s fancy cousin, all dressed up for a night out.
I heard tell, there was another car in that movie, a Mazda, somethin’ called an RX-7. That one, they said it cost a pretty penny, fifty-five somethin’. Dollars, I reckon. That’s a lot of money for a car! Could buy a whole lotta chickens for that kinda money. Or maybe a good milk cow. My word, that is a lot of money.
- That Nissan Fairlady Z, she was a beauty.
- They used a bunch of ’em in that Tokyo Drift movie.
- DK, he was a mean one, but he sure could drive.
- That Mazda, it cost more than a good milk cow!
I seen one of them Fairlady Z cars at some car show thing, called Tokyo Drift 2015. Wasn’t like the movie, but they had lots of fancy cars there. That Nissan Fairlady Z, it was somethin’ else. Real old school, they called it. I tell you what, it was my favorite one there, amongst all them newfangled machines. It was just so… awesome. That’s the word. Awesome. Yep that Nissan Fairlady Z tokyo drift was good. All them other cars, they just don’t make ’em like they used to.
Now, that DK fella in the movie, he was always driftin’ around corners. Slidin’ and smokin’ them tires. Looked like a whole lotta fun, but I bet it’s hard on the car. My old man, he used to do that with his pickup truck, but only when he was showin’ off for the girls. He’d get a scoldin’ from my mama for wearin’ out the tires. She’d say, “You’re gonna ruin them tires, you fool!”

These young folks today, they love them fast cars. Always racin’ around, makin’ a ruckus. Back in my day, we was happy with a horse and buggy. Didn’t need no fancy Nissan Fairlady Z to get around. But I guess times change. Still, that car, it sure was somethin’ to look at in that Tokyo Drift movie.
I wonder how much one of them Nissan cars costs nowadays? Probably more than I could afford. I could buy a whole lot of feed for my chickens with that kinda money. Or maybe even a new plow. My old plow’s gettin’ rusty. Needs a good sandin’ and oilin’.
Well, I reckon I’ve talked your ear off about that Nissan Fairlady Z. It’s just a car, I suppose. But it sure brings back memories of that movie. Tokyo Drift, was it? Yep, that’s the one. Time sure does fly. Seems like just yesterday I was a young girl, chasin’ chickens and dreamin’ of a life beyond the farm. Now look at me, an old woman, talkin’ about cars I seen in a movie. Life’s funny, ain’t it?
Anyways, that Nissan Fairlady Z Tokyo Drift car, it was a real special one. Don’t see many like that anymore. They just don’t make them like that. Nope. Too much plastic and not enough steel, I say. If you ever see one, take a good look, ’cause it is a good car. That is all I have to say.
