Today, I wanna talk about this guy named Richard Nakhonethap. You might know him as Knock2. This dude is a DJ and music producer from San Diego, California, the same city where I’m at. I heard his name a few times but didn’t really look him up until recently.
So, I started digging around to see what this guy’s all about. First thing I noticed was that people say his music mixes a bunch of styles like bass house, trap, and other stuff. I don’t even know the differences between those things, but I was curious to find out what that sounds like, so I kept going.
I found out that he’s been DJing since he was in sixth grade, pretty crazy, right? He got his start by playing at weddings and clubs. It’s pretty cool to see how far he’s come from those early days. He also met another DJ named ISOxo when they were teenagers, and now they’re in a group called ISOKNOCK. It’s always cool to see artists come up together and form these kinds of partnerships.
Starting The Music Journey
- Started listening to some of his popular tracks. The energy in his music is seriously contagious. It got me hooked right away.
- Explored his work. I found out he was signed with Rl Grime’s Sable Valley imprint. When I knew that, I started to think, “Okay, this guy is doing some serious stuff.”
- Watched some videos of his live performances. Seeing the crowds going wild and the energy he brings to the stage made me want to experience it myself.
After doing all this digging, I finally decided to dive into his music. I started with his popular stuff, and man, the energy in his tracks is something else. It’s like, you can’t help but want to move. I ended up spending hours listening to his songs and watching videos of his live performances. Seeing the crowd going wild, I thought, “I gotta see this guy live someday.”
So, yeah, that’s my little journey into the world of Richard Nakhonethap, or Knock2. It’s been a fun ride so far, and I’m definitely gonna keep an eye on what he does next. If you’re into electronic music or just looking for something new and energetic, you might want to give this guy a listen.
