Okay, so I’ve been seeing these suit vests for women everywhere lately, and I gotta say, I was intrigued. I mean, a vest? Really? But they looked so darn chic on all these fashion bloggers, so I decided to give it a shot. First things first, I needed to find the right one. I scoured the internet, checking out different styles, colors, and fabrics. Did I want something classic and tailored? Or maybe something a bit more trendy and oversized? It was a tough choice!

I finally settled on a simple black one from this online shop – you know, the one with a huge amount of users. It was a good price, and the reviews were decent. When it arrived, I was pretty excited. I ripped open the package and tried it on immediately. My first thought? It was a little… plain. But hey, that’s what styling is for, right?
Trying Different Looks
- Look 1: The Classic
I paired the vest with a crisp white button-down shirt and some high-waisted black trousers. Very office-appropriate, but a bit boring for my taste. I added a pair of pointy-toe heels to make it a little more interesting and to make me look taller as I am petite, to be honest, I did not like how it looks.
- Look 2: Casual Chic
This time, I threw the vest over a simple white t-shirt and some light-wash jeans. Much better! I rolled up the sleeves of the t-shirt and added some sneakers. This was definitely more my style. I even tried the look with a denim mini skirt and boots. It was not bad, to be honest, but I felt too cold as it is winter now.
- Look 3: Layered Up
Since it’s getting colder, I decided to try layering the vest. I wore it over a thin black turtleneck and under a long wool coat. I completed the look with some black skinny jeans and ankle boots. This was my favorite look so far! It was warm, stylish, and felt very put-together. I also tried wearing a grey hoodie, but the colors did not look that great. I might try some other more colorful sweatshirts.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with my suit vest experiment. It’s definitely a versatile piece that can be dressed up or down. I’m excited to keep playing around with different looks and see how else I can incorporate it into my wardrobe. Would I recommend it? Absolutely! Just be prepared to experiment a little to find the styles that work best for you. It’s all about having fun with fashion, right?

Oh, and one last thing! I also saw some women wearing suit vests with nothing underneath, like a top. That’s a bit too daring for me, but hey, maybe I’ll give it a try someday. Who knows? The vest made me feel a lot more confident, so maybe one day I can try wearing it as a top in the summer with a nice hat. We will see!
