Okay, so, I’ve been seeing these teal nails all over my social media feeds lately, and I just had to give them a try. I mean, who doesn’t love a good pop of color for the summer, right? And teal is just so hot right now. I am going to do it, let’s go!
First things first, I had to get some supplies. I found some inspiration online, and I just thought I should use some other colors too. The online post said we can use these colors: lavender or lilac, candy pink or light pink, pale yellow, mint green, coral orange, and peach. They are so perfect for summer. I picked up a few different shades of teal nail polish and also picked up some pink, yellow, and orange. I went with a lighter teal, almost like a minty color. And I also grabbed some brighter ones, like a turquoise, and also a shimmery teal ’cause why not? I also made sure I had a good base coat and top coat ’cause those are key for making your manicure last.
Next, I prepped my nails. This is super important, you guys. I started by removing any old polish I had on. Then, I trimmed and filed my nails into a nice, even shape. I pushed back my cuticles gently. And finally, I buffed my nails a little bit to help the polish stick better.
Then came the fun part, actually painting my nails! I started with a thin layer of base coat on all my nails and let that dry completely. I decided to do a mix of solid color nails and a couple of accent nails with some designs on them. It seemed so fun, like the one called “Ocean Elegance” I found online.
- For the solid color nails, I just did two coats of the lighter teal polish. It looked so pretty and summery. I chose to paint my thumb and pinky with pink polish, and it was a nice match!
- For the accent nails, I decided to use the brighter turquoise on my ring fingers, and the other nails are painted yellow. Then, I used a thin brush to draw on some other color patterns with the coral orange and peach polish. After that, I added some shimmer on top of the yellow and turquoise nails for extra fun. And I think it matched pretty well!
Once I was happy with how all my nails looked, I finished everything off with a layer of top coat. This helps seal in the color and prevents chipping. Oh, and it adds a nice glossy shine, too.
I am pretty happy with how these turned out! They’re so bright and cheerful, and they totally give me those summer vibes. Plus, it was actually pretty easy to do. I think I’ll definitely be trying out more nail art designs in the future.
