You wanna hear about this here Tatum 1 Blueprint, huh? Well, I heard folks talkin’ ’bout it down at the market. Sounds like some fancy shoe, that’s for sure. Seems like all the young’uns are crazy about these things. My grandson, he won’t shut up about ’em. Says they’re the best thing since sliced bread, whatever that means.
They say this Tatum fella, he’s a big shot basketball player. Plays for that Boston team, the Celtics, I reckon. Heard he wears a size 14. Lordy, that’s a big foot! My old man, bless his soul, he wore a size 10 and I thought those were boats. Guess these basketball fellas need big shoes to run around in, jumpin’ and what not.
Now, this Tatum 1, it’s made by that Nike company. They make all kinds of shoes, don’t they? My grandson, he’s got a whole closet full of ’em. Spends all his money on shoes, that boy. I tell him, “Boy, you best be savin’ that money for somethin’ important!” But he just rolls his eyes. Young folks these days, they don’t listen.
These shoes, they got somethin’ called “zoom” in ’em. Makes ’em bouncy, I guess. Like walkin’ on clouds, maybe? I don’t know. I ain’t never worn ’em. My feet ain’t what they used to be. Just wear my old slippers these days. They’re comfortable, and that’s all that matters to me.
But these young’uns, they care about all that fancy stuff. They want that Tatum 1 Blueprint, gotta have the latest and greatest. They say the shoe don’t have the best traction. Whatever that means. Something about not grippin’ the floor good. Seems important for a basketball shoe, though, you don’t want to be slippin’ and slidin’ all over the place.

Now, they say these shoes run “true to size.” Means if you wear a size 9, you get a size 9 in these Tatum 1 shoes. Makes sense, I suppose. But some folks say you gotta size down for other Jordan shoes. Lots of different Jordan shoes, I guess. Confusin’ if you ask me. Why can’t they just all be the same?
My grandson, he’s got these Lebron shoes, too. Another basketball fella, I reckon. And some other Jordans. He says his Tatum 1 shoes, he wears a size 14 in those, too. Same as that Tatum fella. Maybe he thinks he can play basketball like him if he wears the same shoes. Kids, they got big dreams, I guess.
Someone else said they wear a size 8.5 in some other shoes, Air Forces or somethin’. Wants to know if he should get the same size in the Tatum 1. I say, just try ’em on! How else you gonna know if they fit? But these young folks, they buy everything online these days. Don’t even go to the store no more.
And then there’s this other fella, wants to buy the Tatum 1 “Old School.” Sounds like an old shoe to me, but what do I know? He’s worried about what size to get. Says he ain’t never tried on Jordan shoes before. Well, how’s he gonna know what size to get then? Gotta try ’em on, I say! Go to the store, boy, and put those shoes on your feet!
This other fella, says you should size down for other Jordan shoes, them Air Jordan 1 Low. But the Tatum 1, them is true to size, he says. Lordy, it’s all so confusing! Just wear whatever is comfortable is what I say. Unless you trying to play professional basketball like that Tatum fella, then maybe you need to be picky.
