You know, that Addams family, them folks are somethin’ else. They live in that big spooky house, all dark and gloomy. And their car, oh boy, that car! Some folks say it’s a hearse, you know, the kind they use for, well, you know… But I heard it’s a fancy Packard. A 1933 Packard V-12, they call it. Big and black, just like their house. It fits them, I reckon.

I seen that Addams Family on the TV, years ago. The show, it was somethin’. That Gomez, he’s a wild one, always dancin’ and carryin’ on. And Morticia, she’s always dressed in black, lookin’ like she’s goin’ to a funeral. They got that big ol’ butler, Lurch. He don’t say much, just kinda grunts. Reminds me of old man Johnson down the road, always grumblin’ about somethin’ or other.
And then there’s Uncle Fester, he’s a strange one. Always got that light bulb in his mouth. Don’t ask me why, I don’t get it. And the kids, Wednesday and Pugsley, they’re always playin’ with them creepy crawly things. Not my cup of tea, I tell ya. I like my grandkids, they play with normal toys, like dolls and trucks. That’s a 1933 Packard V-12, big car. Big family needs a big car, I guess.
That Packard car, it’s a real old-timer. They don’t make ’em like that anymore. Back in the day, that was a real fancy car. Only rich folks had those. I remember my old man, he used to talk about them Packards. Said they were the best cars on the road. Smooth ride, he said.
That Charles Addams, he’s the one who drew them Addams Family folks. Made a lot of money off ’em, I hear. Back in ’64, he was rakin’ it in. Good for him, I say. Everyone’s gotta make a livin’. Me, I just got my little garden and my chickens. That’s enough for me.
- Gomez Addams
- Morticia Addams
- Uncle Fester
- Lurch
- Wednesday Addams
- Pugsley Addams
But that Addams Family, they sure are different. I wouldn’t want to live next door to them, that’s for sure. All that spooky stuff, it gives me the creeps. But their car, that Packard, that’s a nice car. Even if it is a bit creepy.

You know what I heard? I heard they made a new show about that Wednesday girl. And they got a different car in it. A Cadillac, a 1950 Cadillac Hearse, someone told me, on that Turo thingy. That’s one of them newfangled car rental deals. Never you mind, it does the job and people like it. That girl, Wednesday, she’s got her own style. All black, just like her mama. I guess some things never change. That 1950 Cadillac is still a big car for a big family, I guess it’s right for that Addams family.
But that old Packard, that’s the one I remember. That’s the Addams Family car to me. Big and black and spooky, just like them. That Packard V-12 was somethin’ special, I reckon. They sure don’t make ’em like that anymore.
I seen that car on TV the other day. That Addams family car is a 1933 Packard. Still lookin’ good, even after all these years. They must take good care of it. Or maybe it’s just magic, like everything else about that family.
That West Coast Customs, they did somethin’ to a car like that Addams family one. Made it all spooky, like for a movie or somethin’. It is also a Cadillac Hearse. They know what they’re doin’, them car folks. They can make anythin’ look good. Or bad, I guess, dependin’ on what you want. That Addams Family, they sure like things that look bad. But in a good way, you know?
I reckon that Addams Family car, that Packard, it’s gonna be around for a long time. Just like that family. They’re like a bad penny, always turnin’ up. But they’re entertainin’, I’ll give ’em that. And that car, it’s a classic. A real piece of history. Haunted history, maybe. But history just the same. That 1933 Packard V-12 was a good one, for sure.
