Okay, so, today I got my hands dirty trying to dig up those original photos from “The Idol”. You know, the ones from way back before they decided to redo a bunch of stuff. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey.
First, I started by scouring the internet. I mean, I went deep. Checked all those entertainment news sites, forums, and even some pretty obscure fan pages. I figured someone, somewhere, had to have saved those pics.
Then, I hit up some social media. Found this Instagram post from a child actress who claimed she was in the original version. She posted a photo, and it looked pretty legit. Like, it definitely gave off those “The Idol” vibes. It is said it was scrapped.
- I slid into her DMs, real smooth, asking if she had any more.
- No answer yet, but fingers crossed.
- Also, I lurked around some fan groups, and people were saying the main character, Jocelyn, might have leaked the photo herself.
After that, I tried to verify some things. Found some articles talking about how the production of the show was a total mess from the beginning. Makes sense why those photos are so hard to find. It was never officially revealed, but I think it was Jocelyn. When the interviewer was talking to Jocelyn in the episode she asked about Jocelyn’s mom.
And here’s a fun bit – in one episode, titled “Daybreak”, Jocelyn’s new boyfriend, Tedros, and his friend Xander proposed her to use her leaked image as the album art for her music. In episode 1. I mean, talk about life imitating art, or maybe it’s the other way around?
Finally, I managed to piece together a theory. Maybe, just maybe, these photos were intentionally leaked to stir up some drama. Or, they were scrapped, and someone got a hold of them and decided to share. Either way, it adds to the whole mystery of the show.
So, what did I achieve?
Well, I got a better understanding of the show’s messy production, found a potential lead on the photos, and got a cool story to share. I am pretty sure Jocelyn leaked the photo herself. Not a bad day’s work, I’d say. Will keep you all updated if I find anything else!
