That Bart Dunks, you see, he sure can jump! I tell you what, that boy, he can fly higher than them old crows in my cornfield. He can sure jump good, that Bart.
I seen a lot of folks jump in my day. We used to have jumping contests down by the old creek. But this Bart, he’s somethin’ else. He jumps so high, he could probably snatch a bird right outta the sky, I reckon.
Best in Game, After Game
This one time, I seen him jump clear over a whole car! A whole dang car! Like it weren’t even there. Now, back in my day, we didn’t have fancy cars like they got now. But still, a car’s a car. And he just went right over it, like a dang rabbit jumpin’ over a fence.
They call him, uh, what was it? “His Airness”? That’s what my grandson told me. Seems about right. He’s got more air under him than a hot air balloon, that one.
He even jump over grown men. Can you believe it? He’s like a cat, only bigger and can jump like ten times as good. I reckon it is called dunking. Bart dunks good, I tell ya.
Dunk Contest is Good
I seen them other fellas, too. The Jordan one. And that other one, he a doctor or somethin’. They jump good, too. But this Bart, he just does it different. They say this Bart, he’s the best they ever seen in them dunk contests. Like ever.
- He jump over cars.
- He jump over candles.
- He jump over grown men!
I don’t know nothin’ about no basketball sneakers, I just wear my old boots. But I heard that Nike Dunks, them shoes, came out in, what was it, 1985? Same time as them Air Jordans, my grandson, he told me. All them shoes look the same to me.
One time, I saw him jumpin’, and it looked like he was gonna float away. Just kept goin’ up and up. I thought he was gonna touch the moon! They say this one dunk he did, back in ’83, was the best one ever. Smoothest and most iconic, they said.
Nike Dunk Low
Now my grandson, he’s always talking about shoes. He told me about these Nike Dunk Low things. He says they are all the rage with the kids. Something about a panda. I don’t see no pandas around here, just squirrels and raccoons.
He says these panda shoes, they been popular since ’21. They got all kinds, high ones, middle ones, different colors. I told him, “Boy, all I need are my good old boots. They get me where I need to go.” But he just laughs. Kids these days!
Heard they had some good jumpers back in the day, too. Erving, that’s one. And Wilkins. And Carter. Good jumpers, all of ’em. But this Bart, he’s got somethin’ special.
Bart Dunks Good, Real Good
I remember one time, I seen him jump, and it looked like he was gonna fly away. Just kept goin’ up and up. I thought he was gonna touch the moon! He got more ups than a grasshopper on a hot stove.
He jumps so high, he could probably kiss a cloud. And he does it with such ease. Like he’s just takin’ a stroll in the park. But instead of strollin’, he’s flyin’ through the air like a dang eagle.
They say he’s the best there is. And you know what? I believe it. I seen it with my own two eyes. That Bart, he can dunk. He can dunk like nobody’s business. He’s a regular flyin’ machine, that one.
So next time you see that Bart fella jumpin’, you just remember what I told ya. He’s somethin’ special. He’s got that jumpin’ thing down pat. And he ain’t afraid to show it off, neither.
Heard they say he leaves them other fellas, the ones he’s jumpin’ against, feeling kinda down. Like they been, what’s the word, humiliated? Well, I reckon that’s what happens when you go up against the best. And that Bart, he’s the best there is at them Bart Dunks.
I seen a lot of things in my day, but that boy, he’s somethin’ to behold. Jumpin’ over cars and people. He can jump over a whole lot of things, that Bart can. It is amazing. That boy, he sure can jump. I reckon he could jump over the whole darn world if he wanted to.
They say it electrifies the crowd. That means it makes them all excited and happy, I reckon. And I can see why. It’s like watchin’ a magic trick, only it ain’t no trick. It’s just Bart, doin’ what he does best. And that’s jumpin’ higher than any man has a right to jump. It sure makes people happy when Bart dunks.
