Okay, so, let me tell you about this whole Urban Decay Tonic thing I tried out. I’ve been seeing this eyeshadow shade, like, everywhere, and I finally decided to give it a shot. I grabbed one online – seemed easier than hunting it down in a store.

First off, the color is way different in person. It looked kind of purplish-blue online, but it’s actually more of a… shimmery lavender? I don’t know, it’s hard to describe. Anyway, I figured, whatever, let’s see how it looks on.
I started by prepping my eyelids with a primer, as always. Then, I used a fluffy brush to sweep the Tonic shade all over my lids. My first impression was that it’s super pigmented. I barely had to dip my brush in to get a good amount of color. And it’s really blendable, too, which is a huge plus. I layered it a couple of times to build up the intensity.
- Used a primer first, always.
- A fluffy brush to apply the color all over.
- Layered it to get a stronger color.
Here’s how I applied it:
I have to say, the result is not bad. It made my eyes pop, and it lasted pretty much all day without creasing or fading. It got me a few compliments, which is always nice. I guess it’s quite a nice try.
But honestly? It’s not exactly a game-changer. I mean, it’s a nice eyeshadow, sure. It’s easy to use and looks pretty, but I’ve used other eyeshadows that were just as good, if not better. I’ve heard that they might stop making this shade soon because they want to focus on new stuff. Honestly, I wouldn’t be too sad if they did. It’s not like it’s a must-have or anything.
So, yeah, that’s my experience with Urban Decay Tonic. It’s a decent eyeshadow, but nothing to write home about. I wouldn’t say it was a total waste of money, but I definitely wouldn’t freak out if I couldn’t find it anymore. There are tons of other eyeshadows out there, and I’m always up for trying something new.
