Okay, so, I’ve always been a huge fan of “Pretty Little Liars.” I mean, who isn’t, right? The drama, the mystery, the fashion! It was all so captivating. I remember I spent hours watching all those episodes. And you know what really stuck with me? The outfits. Each character had such a distinct style, and I was totally obsessed.

I decided I wanted to do something about it, but I wasn’t sure what. I went on the internet, but there was nothing I could use. So I started this whole project to recreate some of the most iconic looks from the show. It was a bit ambitious, I’ll admit, but I was determined.
First things first, I watched all the episodes of PLL again. Yes, all of them. This time, though, I wasn’t just enjoying the story. I took screenshots of every outfit that caught my eye. I had hundreds of them, it was crazy! I organized them by character, by season, even by episode. Yeah, I’m that meticulous, what can I say?
Finding the Pieces
Next came the hard part: actually finding the pieces or at least something similar. This is where things got tricky. I spent hours scouring online stores, thrift shops, you name it. I became a regular at my local vintage stores. The salespeople probably thought I was nuts, but I was on a mission!
- I remember one time I was looking for a specific Aria dress, you know, the one with all the lace and fringe? I finally found it in this tiny shop, it was like it was waiting for me.
- Then there was the time I searched high and low for Spencer’s signature blazer. I eventually settled for one that was close enough, but it wasn’t quite the same. Oh well.
Sometimes I had to get creative. I learned some basic sewing skills so I could modify clothes to match the originals better. I dyed fabrics, added embellishments, the whole nine yards. It was a lot of work, but also so much fun. I even tried changing my style, like that time I changed from my usual style to be more like Emily, but then I changed back because, you know, change is hard.
Putting It All Together
Once I had all the pieces, I started putting the outfits together. I tried them on, took photos, and compared them to the screenshots I had. It was so satisfying to see it all come together. I felt like I was bringing a little piece of the show to life. I even created a small section on my blog to share all this.

This whole project has been a labor of love. It took months, maybe even a year, but it was totally worth it. I learned so much about fashion, about myself, and about the power of perseverance. And you know what? I think I’ve gotten pretty good at recreating these looks. Maybe I should start a business or something, haha!
Anyway, if you’re a “Pretty Little Liars” fan like me, I hope you enjoyed this little trip down memory lane. And if you ever need help recreating your favorite PLL outfit, you know who to call! Well, not call, but you get what I mean. This is just my little story, and I’m sticking to it. I just like sharing these things, you know? It’s fun! Dressed in my Hanna Marin-inspired outfit now. Bye!
