Okay, so let’s talk about makeup in 2010. It was a wild time, let me tell you.

I remember seeing all those crazy looks on social media, and I got curious. I started to try some of them out myself, just for fun. I mean, why not, right?
First, I dug up some old makeup tutorials from around that time. I watched tons of videos, took some notes, and looked up the stuff that people were using back then. It was all about those thick eyebrows and heavy contouring, which was super different from what I was used to.
Getting the Right Stuff
I went to the store and grabbed a bunch of makeup that seemed to be popular back then. I’m talking about thick foundation, a few different contouring kits, and some really bold eyeshadow palettes. And let’s not forget about those matte lipsticks – everyone was wearing them!
Trying it Out
The first thing I tried was the eyebrows. I used an eyebrow pencil and some powder to make them look super thick and dark. It felt weird at first, but I kind of liked it.
Next, I worked on the contouring. I applied a dark shade under my cheekbones, along my jawline, and on the sides of my nose. Then I used a lighter shade to highlight the high points of my face. It was a lot of blending, but I managed to make it look okay.
For the eyes, I went with a smoky look. I used a dark gray eyeshadow all over my lids and blended it out. Then I added some black eyeliner and a ton of mascara. False lashes were a big thing too, so I popped some of those on as well.
Finally, I finished the look with a matte lipstick. I chose a dark red color, which was really popular at the time. It felt a bit dry, but it definitely completed the look.
The Result
When I looked in the mirror, I was surprised. It was a lot of makeup, but it did look kind of cool in a dramatic way. I took some selfies, just like everyone was doing back then, and I have to admit, the pictures looked pretty good. It was fun to step back in time and try out a different style. It’s not something I’d wear every day, but it was a fun experiment!
It was a pretty wild ride, experimenting with 2010 makeup. It’s definitely not the same as what we’re doing today, but it was a lot of fun to try out. It’s interesting to see how things have changed and how some things come back in style, you know?
