Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again, and today we’re diving into something a little different – sneakers. Specifically, the Nike Metal Air Max. Now, I’ve been a sneakerhead for a while, and Air Maxes have always held a special place in my heart. I remember when I first got into the sneaker game. I saw the Air Max 90s everywhere, and I knew I had to get a pair.
So, I started doing some digging. It turns out, the Air Max 90 is a classic for a reason. People love them! I read somewhere that they scored like an 8.93 out of 10 on average, which is pretty insane. The Air Max 95s are also up there, but not quite as popular, with a score of around 7.95. But the 90s, man, they’re the real deal. I also checked out some newer models like the Air Max Plus and Air Max 97, and they’re definitely cool, too.
But what makes Air Maxes so special? Well, it’s all about that air bubble. You see those see-through pockets on the bottom of the shoe? Those are filled with pressurized gas. Nike calls them “Air units” or “Airbags.” And let me tell you, they make a difference. They’re supposed to give you better cushioning than regular foam, and they also make the shoes lighter. I personally found this to be true after I tried on a pair of AM97’s. Felt like I was walking on clouds!
I also learned that “Nike Air” is a general term for all of Nike’s air cushioning tech, while “Air Max” specifically refers to shoes where you can actually see the Air unit. I’ve seen some people online say their favorites are the AM95 or AM97, and some even swear by the AM98 or TL IV. Everyone’s got their own preferences, you know?
