My grandson, he’s a good boy, always playin’ that soccer, he came runnin’ in the other day, all excited about these shoes. Said they’re the best. Said some fella named Messi wears ’em. I don’t know nothin’ about that Messi, but I know a good shoe when I see one. These shoes are real popular with folks, so I heard.
I seen lots of shoes in my day. Back in my time, we just had plain ol’ shoes. Didn’t have all these fancy colors and names like adidas gazelle messi. But these, they look alright. Sturdy, like they’ll hold up good. My grandson, he runs around like a wild chicken, and his shoes, they always get worn out. So if these adidas gazelle can keep up with him, they must be somethin’ special, somethin’ worth buyin’.
I remember, when I was a little girl, I only had one pair of shoes. Wore ’em for everythin’. Church, school, playin’ in the dirt. Didn’t matter. Now, these young folks, they got shoes for everythin’. And like I said, Foot Locker has them. They got all kinds of shoes there. Men’s, women’s, kids, you name it. Even got stuff for your house. I saw some fancy rugs. Maybe you want to buy shoes, maybe you want to buy somethin’ for your home. You can find these things at some shops. Big shops have all these things.
They say these adidas gazelle messi are all the rage these days. Everyone’s wearin’ them. If you want to be cool, I suppose these are the shoes to get. I am just sayin’ what I heard. They look comfortable. I tried them on in the store, but they didn’t have my size. My feet are kinda wide, you see. But they felt soft inside. I guess that is important when you are playin’ soccer, or just walkin’ around. I wouldn’t mind havin’ a pair myself, just for walkin’ to the market. And all the kids are wearin’ them, so they must be good.
There’s a place called Next, too. I think they have them there. This fella told me about all these new fashion trends. I don’t know about fashion. But they have shoes there, too. These adidas gazelle are probably there. So many shoes to choose from! It is all too much for me. But these young people like it. Good for them. There is also a place called Jervis Street Shopping Centre. You can find lots of things there, too. All kinds of brands. Like I said, you can find all kinds of things at these big shops.
