So, I’ve been eyeing The Row’s bucket bags for a while now. I finally decided to take the plunge and get one for myself. I did some digging online and found out that The Row is this brand started by the Olsen twins back in 2006. Apparently, they’ve got clothes, glasses, and, of course, handbags.
I started my quest at Nordstrom’s website. They had a bunch of The Row’s bucket bags, all sorts of materials like leather, faux leather, and some with prints. They even had other brands like Tory Burch and Madewell, but I was set on The Row.
Then I stumbled upon this article talking about investing in The Row’s handbags. It got me thinking, “Am I really ready to drop some serious cash on a bag?” I mean, it’s a big decision, right?
The hunt continues online
- I checked out Mytheresa’s site.
- I found this “belvedere leather bucket bag” in green.
- It looked so fancy.
- It got me browsing their other stuff from The Row, like their clothes, too.
Next, I landed back on Nordstrom’s, but this time, I went to a physical store. They had a whole section for The Row’s handbags. The sales associate told me that they offer free shipping and you can return stuff to any of their stores, which was pretty convenient. Plus, they do alterations in-store, which is a nice touch.
I found a couple of bags that caught my eye:
- One was this neutral canvas bag with silver-tone hardware and leather trim.
- It had these two shoulder straps and some leather embellishments.
- Inside, it was lined with canvas and had a single pocket.
The other one was:
- A white bag, also with silver-tone hardware.
- But this one had an adjustable shoulder strap.
- The inside was suede with three pockets.
- And it had both snap and drawstring closures.
I spent a good amount of time looking at the details. There was this little stamp on the inside of the bag. I guess that’s how you know it’s the real deal.
Making the decision
After much deliberation, I finally decided to go with the white one. It just felt more “me,” you know? I figured I’d share how to clean it, just in case someone else is as clumsy as me.
Here’s what I learned:
- First, empty the bag.
- Then, get a bowl of lukewarm water and add a few drops of liquid soap.
- Mix it until you see suds.
- Grab a soft towel or a microfiber cloth, dip it in the soapy water, and gently wipe the bag’s surface.
And that’s it! I’m now the proud owner of a The Row bucket bag. It was quite the journey, but I’m really happy with my purchase. Hopefully, my little adventure helps someone else out there who’s thinking about getting one of these beauties.
